Moncler proves that collaborations are the way to success in the fashion industry through its Moncler Genius line. This time, it’s the turn of New York designer Salehe Bembury.
Moncler Genius was presented during Milan Fashion Week in 2019 with an exciting line up, ten designers joining their pieces for a common project. Richard Quinn, Matthew Williams (1017 Alyx 9SM), Pierpaolo Piccioli (Valentino), Simone Rocha, Francesco Ragazzi (Palm Angels), Hiroshi Fujiwara (Fragment), Sandro Mandrino (Moncler Grenoble), Veronica Leoni, Sergio Zambon (Moncler 1952) and Craig Green. After several more collaborations over the last few years, it is now the turn of designer Salehe Bembury with his outwear collection.
Salehe Bembury was inspired by Moncler’s archive line from the 1950s, revisiting mountaineering codes for contemporary hikers. The brand’s fingerprint motif appears in relief on each of the Moncler outerwear items, giving the jackets and waistcoats three-dimensional DNA patterns. Retro Moncler ēquipements appear on hoodies, while trousers arrive quilted and caps textured. Bembury’s rebellious attitude is channelled into Monroe’s Trailgrip trainers with VIBRAM soles.
Salehe Bembury’s Moncler Genius collaboration will be available in-store and online via Moncler on 14 July.
