Masayuki Ino’s brand – Doublet – continues to rely on deconstruction for its Spring/Summer 2019 offer.
This time, the Japanese brand’s techniques are based on inverted suits, loose silk jeans and chaotic embroidery. All of this is clearly influenced by an aesthetic of the 1980s. Bold tones take centre stage, exemplified in yellow shirts, striking blue bathing suits and striped suits, each with the Doublet logo.
Doublet SS19
Among the retro style winks we can find swimsuits and lots of sportswear with straps, such as polos and deconstructed cardigans reinforced with the brand “Lacoste” and “Penguin”. Flip-flops, Hawaiian shirts, patch socks and Katherine Hamnett slogan t-shirts raise the athletic influence of Masayuki‘s throwback.
The complete collection will reach distributors selected as SSENSE at the beginning of next year. However, thanks to Luisaviaroma, some pieces of the next collection are already available to be purchased in advance – pre-order.
If you don’t know Doublet, here we explain you about the project – one of the most interesting of the current fashion system.
