Dr. Martens celebrates 10th anniversary of its Jadon silhouette

For a decade, Dr. Martens Jadon boots have been amplifying and empowering the bold and subversive, helping them develop a voice and attitude of their own. So this season celebrates the creativity that inspired this silhouette and pays homage to subcultures.

From the moment they rolled off the production line back in 2013, you knew that the Jadon was a special boot. More than 60 years of unmistakable Dr. Martens DNA were elevated on an inescapable platform sole. An eight-hole model created with classic Polished Smooth leather on a PVC sole. While retaining signature details such as the yellow welt stitching and AirWair loop strip on the heel.

A tribute to the bravest alternative subcultures: for those who reject convention and transform Dr. Martens boots and shoes in order to radically discover themselves.

The Jadon Harness are made from black Paris leather and include a mix of harness straps, antique black hardware and an upper instep ring. They have two-inch Quad Retro soles, yellow welt stitching and the AirWair loop strap.

The Jadon Alt. are a metallic version of the same. An ode to the creativity of customisation. Created with supple Buttero leather and equipped with massive bronze grey D-ring and eyelets and a metallic footplate. The eight-hole model is elevated on a Quad Retro sole and features the iconic vira stitching in yellow and a black and yellow loop strip on the heel.

There’s also the Jadon Zip, inspired by the rebellious spirit and personalisation evoked by images of leather-clad countercultural bikers. They are made from ready-to-wear Milled Nappa leather and feature a silver zip that runs along the heel, heel counter and rear parallel to the welt line. It is secured with yellow stitching.

The Jadon Max is built for the spotlight, elevated even further by the formidable 2.25-inch Quad Retro Max sole. This season, it’s transformed through Silver Metallic Tumble, a smooth, textured leather, which is combined with matching silver embossing on the looped heel strap, giant tonal eyelets and speckled laces.

Finally, there’s a vegan version that pays homage to the indomitable spirit of counterculture and rebellion: the Jadon Retro Ray. They follow a psychedelic design inspired by the hedonistic 70s and are made with heavy canvas and a print created by the Camden team. To top it all off, it features yellow welt stitching and the eye-catching cream loop strap.
