Dr. Martens and Medicom Toy collaborate in the reinvention of the 1460 boot model. In addition, both brands have announced the creation of six limited edition BE@RBRICK figures that refer to different decades in the history of Dr. Martens.
For the design of the 1460 boot, Medicom Toy has been inspired by their classic BE@RBRICK. Thus, they have presented the drop with engravings on the leather upper and the bright red “@” badge on the side. The silhouette has been given a fleece lining on the inside and laces in red to complete the design.
The six limited edition BE @ RBRICK figures have been created to pay tribute to different decades of Dr. Martens’ history. Medicom Toy has studied who wore this model of boots and has recreated different urban tribes or cultures. Thus, they have dignified characters with reminiscences of the punk of the 70s or the Gothic of the 80s. For the 90’s, Medicom Toy has focused on grunge, while the 2000’s are inspired by Kawaii culture. Finally, the 2010 decade is inspired by the figure of the hipster represented by a beard and tattoos.
