Dyson launches air purifying headphones

Dyson has just launched its first portable device that purifies air, while providing hi-fi headphones. Dubbed the ‘Dyson Zone™’, it delivers immersive sound through ANC headphones and directs purified air to the nose and mouth through a non-contact visor.⁣

The Dyson Zone™ was created by the British tech brand’s team to tackle the common urban problems of air quality and noise pollution, citing unhealthy levels of air pollution in London and other cities around the world.

A replacement for traditional contact masks, the precision compressors housed in the earpieces draw air through double-layered filters, capturing “99 per cent of particulate pollution down to 0.1 microns, such as dust, pollen and bacteria”.
