Over the past few years, Cactus Plant Flea Market T-shirts and hoodies have teleported the world’s most important and prolific musicians into another dimension of style. Having previously collaborated with Nike, they are now back with the Dunk Low silhouette.
From adorning Dunk sneakers with jewels all over to adding Air More Uptempo-inspired lyrics to Air Force 1s, the rapper’s favourite label isn’t afraid when it comes to producing outlandish trainers. Just look at its latest creation in the Nike Dunk Low silhouette.
Cynthia Lu, the urban fashion brand’s founder, revamps the classic silhouette with earthy elements and a host of details reminiscent of elements from nature. The usual leather upper of these trainers is modified with triangular-shaped padding in a beige tone.
The new Nike Dunk Low features light brown suede overlays to contrast with the beige base colour. In addition, the Swooshes come on the outside in a less symmetrical shape than usual, while the other side of the sneaker incorporates the yin and yang logo.
The right shoe comes with a set of brown laces and adorned with the Cactus Plant Flea Market graphic on the tongue. The left arrives with muted green laces and Nike logo. In addition, the midsoles and outsole mimic cement which adds more contrast and dimension to the trainers.
