FADE by Matthew M. Williams for 1017 ALYX 9SM conquers Milan

Matthew M. Williams returned to Milan to present the 1017 ALYX 9SM FW22 runway show and won the spectators over with the new designs.

Under the name FADE, the collection reflects the designer’s insatiable search for progressive garments.

The starting point for FADE is shearling, a freshly sheared sheepskin or lambskin that has been tanned and dressed with wool, present in most of the designs -especially in the unisex jackets-. The 3D also plays an important role in many of the styles, which function is to bring adaptability and reversibility to the garments.

The technical materials used for the cargo trousers with external pockets, the puffy waistcoats with metal details, the nylon, boucle and PVC outerwear and the knitted jumpers incorporating all types of fabrics stand out.

In terms of footwear, Matthew M. Williams presented the Mono style, which caused such a furore on social media last week. Thanks to the addition of an insole, the models are elevated to offer a higher level of comfort and originality.

And speaking of FW22Have you seen the new Prada collection?
