Danish designer, and HIGHXTAR fetish, Astrid Andersen has been appointed creative director of a new sportswear line from FILA.
After collaborations like that of Gosha or Liam Hodges Fila returns to the attack. With the name FILA Fjord, the new premium line is inspired by the heritage of the brand and, in particular, its slogan “The measure of perfection“. The collection is based on the relationship between the architecture of northern Europe and the natural environment.
The new line will include ready-to-wear, warm clothing, footwear, accessories and bags. Under Andersen‘s direction, FILA Fjord will be influenced by the designer’s Scandinavian roots and will be designed with a focus on a natural, sustainable and aerodynamic lifestyle. The new line will debut at Pitti Uomo in January before going on sale in autumn/winter 2019.
Andersen explained that the Italian house is one of the most iconic sportswear brands in the world and the possibility of being able to explore its history in order to re-imagine it for a modern public is a truly exciting challenge.
