Based on the principle that true luxury is having the time and space to enjoy oneself, the emblematic hotel has 139 rooms (12 of which are suites with terraces) and offers an attractive urban retreat in the heart of Madrid. It also has a large gym open 24 hours a day, private spa service for two and yoga equipment in each room.

It is worth noting that the JW Marriott Hotel is located in a historic building in the capital, where Álvarez Gómez, one of the oldest perfumeries, was formerly located. The architecture and design of the new building is the work of Rockwell Group, which has developed an elegant concept using natural materials and a neutral colour palette, in keeping with the relaxing spirit of the hotel, but retaining some original architectural elements such as the 19th century wrought iron columns.

The essence of Madrid is closely linked to its history and to the evocative scents of violets, tuberose, carnations and roses that flood the city. Therefore, the JW Marriott Hotel Madrid has collaborated with the Academia del Perfume to pay tribute to the history of the building and the sensual past of the city, creating a holistic wellness experience that stimulates the senses, focusing on the sense of smell. In this way, each guest is presented with an original violet cocktail at check-in, and each guest will be allowed to choose one of five possible “Madrid scents” for their wardrobe.

In collaboration with renowned two Michelin-starred chef Mario Sandoval, the hotel has created a restaurant and cocktail concept based on local gastronomy. Using ingredients grown at the JW Garden and sourced from local suppliers, Qú offers refined Spanish flavours elevated to their fullest expression served in dishes inspired by the beauty of perfume bottles. Each menu is an unforgettable experience that appeals to all five senses and captures the essence of Madrid.
