Last August, alarm bells began to ring: Off-White™ and AC Milan were signing a contract for the 2022/2023 season. The reason? To strengthen the link between fashion and sport.
The first time the brand founded by Virgil Abloh encountered football directly was in 2018, when the creative launched the ‘Football, Mon Amour’ collection. It included all kinds of pieces related to the sport: from the expected football jerseys to warm-up jackets, not forgetting goalkeeper gloves.
Now, four years later, Off-White™ has signed its first official contract with a football team: AC Milan. A “game-changing” partnership that will be unveiled this week in London during AC Milan‘s match against Chelsea.
“This partnership is an ambitious project involving two innovative and global brands. As a club, we have very clear principles. Cultural inclusion and equality are at the forefront of our business. We are therefore proud to embark on this journey together with Off-White™, with whom the Rossoneri share a common vision and mission. This new journey is further proof of AC Milan’s ability to engage with the younger generation through the convergence of football with other sectors” says Casper Stylsvig, Chief Revenue Officer of AC Milan.
