First images of the adidas Superstar by ADWYSD

Following the initial announcement of their collaboration, Always Do What You Should Do and adidas reveal the official images of their retro-inspired Superstar silhouette. This would be the first item in the co-designed capsule that draws inspiration from the London-based streetwear brand’s background linked to the world of skateboarding and surfing and its loyal community of followers.

The ADWYSD Superstar exaggerates the iconic elements of the Superstar, a trend we’ve seen recently in various releases. The upper is constructed from sustainable synthetic leather, while the puffy tongue features the brand’s logo and a reflective tab with interchangeable options. A map of New Zealand is incorporated into the sole.

The inner sole also features a sand footprint and the words “London” and “Mount Maunganui”, further emphasising the brand’s roots and connection to both countries. In addition, adidas and ADWYSD have launched a community space in Hackney, London, which celebrates the people who make up its diverse communities and brings together the worlds of skateboarding and surfing.
