For the first time Ultra Music Festival comes to Spain

For the first time in its history, the Ultra Music festival comes to Spain with its ULTRA BEACH format on the Costa del Sol.

Since its inception in 1999, ULTRA has established itself as one of the most important festivals in the electronic music industry. Its Ultra Worldwide project has contributed greatly to this, which has allowed it to transport the festival experience to different corners of the world. A list of 29 countries to which Spain has now been added.

For the first time in its history, Ultra arrives in Spain with its ULTRA BEACH format. The location chosen for this long-awaited debut has been the Costa del Sol, on the shores of its excellent beaches. In fact, the festival is held just 20 metres from the sea. The brand has promised that this edition will mark a before and after in the history of the Spanish electronic music scene with its first edition. The eagerly awaited event will take place on Saturday 20th August, starting in the afternoon, at Marenostrum (Fuengirola), a space perfectly equipped for an outstanding experience.

The experience will feature two stages: BEACH STAGE will host some of the biggest names in EDM worldwide: Afrojack, winner of a Grammy in 2011 for his remix of Madonna’s Revolver and current number 6 in the world according to the Dj Mag ranking; Oliver Heldens, true pioneer of future house and number 8 in the world according to the aforementioned list; KSHMR, the most in-demand American EDM artist. Completing the line-up on this stage are American Acraze, ULTRA’s own resident Mykris and Spaniards Alex Now and Manu Gonzalez.

RESISTANCE STAGE is ULTRA Worldwide’s award-winning underground music concept. It will be located inside the emblematic Sohail Castle, a majestic 12th century fortress. Adam Beyer, owner of the Drumcode label and one of the great heavyweights of the contemporary techno scene; Joseph Capriati, world-renowned Italian DJ and producer; Ben Sterling, emerging artist of the new British generation; Blackchild, the new ambassador of Italian Tech House; and the line-up will be completed by the German based in Jamaica Melanie Ribbe and Madrid’s Sandro Bianchi.
