Futura has taken a new step in his career by collaborating with Nike to create a collection dedicated to breakdancing at the Olympic Games. The iconic New York artist has been commissioned to design the Nike apparel that will be worn by breakdancers from the United States, Japan and Korea at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. This partnership not only celebrates the incorporation of breakdancing as an Olympic discipline, but also fuses art, fashion and sport in a perfect symbiosis that promises to break new ground.
The collection, dubbed ‘Futura x Nike NSW Breaking’ has been meticulously designed to provide athletes with maximum freedom of movement, durability and style. The range includes jackets, hoodies, long sleeves and t-shirts, which come in a colour palette of black, white, beige and blue. The garments are adorned with Futura’s signature graffiti graphics, the Nike logo and the national flag of each of the three national teams.
Futura x Nike NSW Breaking collection will be on sale from 1 August at Nike and selected retailers.
