Georgia Cut: the haircut that mixes 60’s and 90’s style

This new haircut, so named by Georgia May Jagger, can be defined as a casual, groundbreaking and unstructured style.

Nepo babies are the new trendsetters who, in addition to reviving styles from past decades, add that modern touch that we all need and want. Visually, we see it reflected in the haircut that experts call the Georgia Cut.

This new haircut, named after Georgia May Jagger, can be defined as a carefree, groundbreaking and unstructured style. This proposal is inspired by two eras, combining the style of the 60s and 90s, so we can speak of Brigitte Bardot as one of the precursors. We could say that the cut stands out for the open, tousled fringe and the mixture of layers staggered at the front, creating volume and movement both at the front and at the back of the hair.

It is a revival of a variety of styles from previous decades but with an innovative twist. Georgia is a stepped, wavy and casual cut with a very pronounced structure characterized by long irregular layers and inverted V-shaped bangs that fall to the cheekbone with a small gradient from the chin to the collarbone area. This combination gives the mane a lot of movement and volume thanks to the staggered layers at the front and back.

This cut is most flattering on square faces with large, wide eyes. Thus, it sweetens the features and gives the face a ‘boyish’ touch. Another type of face that favors this cut is one with a small head as long as more length is left than on a square face. A round face would be less favored with this cut. However, if, when styling, the front part of the ends of the hair instead of going backwards would go forwards, it would break the angle of the face and would favor the features a little more.
