Givenchy Pre-Fall 22 in 3 words: spring-like, elevated and fresh

Givenchy and its creative director, Matthew Williams, present the most spring-like Pre-Fall 22 collection of the moment. Find out why.

Yesterday we talked about Louis Vuitton and Moschino’s Pre-Fall collections, and today it’s time to present Givenchy’s collection by Matthew M Williams.

After Williams’ first live show during Paris Fashion Week (PFW) in October, in front of a large number of guests and in a breathtaking location, it is true that “The Matthew Era” in the maison is gaining more and more prominence.

Predominating a clear range of neutral colours, composed mostly by white, stone grey and black, M.M.W. has put in his own way, the touch of light to this last Autumn proposal, which he categorizes as Spring and defines it as elevated and fresh. On the other hand, all these garments, among which we have to highlight the well put together tailoring pieces (as usual), the sandy checked jackets or the textured jeans, are characterised by having several of the designer’s hallmarks, such as textures, surface work and simple lines.

And we cannot end this chronicle without highlighting one of the most important parts of the signature. What is it? The accessories and footwear. Of all of them, we’d definitely choose the 360 knitted trainers, the sandals and mules knitted in G, or the new 4-G soft monogrammed bag.

Do you agree with us and Matthew M Williams that Givenchy’s Pre-Fall 22 collection has a very spring-like feel?
