Gucci confirms shoelaces are a thing of the past

Gucci´s new sneaker proves that laces are a thing of the past. The Ultrapace R silhouette has been designed following the highest technical sports technology. The result: a futuristic evolution of design that stands out for its closure system that replaces traditional laces. 

Gucci’s new Ultrapace R silhouette features a knitted upper with rubber details, a wire ball closure with the distinctive “G” interlocking instead of laces, and a rubber sole with a contrasting stripe.

Available in two colorways, Ultrapace R is now on sale on Gucci’s website at a price of $890. Without a doubt, this design represents a breakthrough in sports technology and an aesthetic evolution that elevates the Italian house concept beyond the confines of haute couture.
