Gucci explores its whimsical side with "Lovelight" collection

Alessandro Michele’s world is free and jovial, and now it all comes together in Gucci’s latest exclusive release, “Lovelight”. As a result, the collection explores the “joyful expression of heritage” while offering contemporary cuts.

Gucci’s latest exclusive launch includes a superb selection of ready-to-wear pieces, footwear, accessories, jewellery, eyewear and everyday items that perfectly capture the brand’s romantic narrative. Expanding on the geometric codes of previous collections, diamond-shaped leather patches come together to create a colourful design in homage to one of the brand’s most iconic symbols.

The collection “expands on the exploration of geometric codes from previous collections: diamond-shaped leather patches are stitched together to create a colourful design that recalls one of the house’s iconic symbols,” says Michele. This is most notable on the Bamboo 1947 bag, which has heart-shaped love motifs in baby blue inlaid into the white leather top base, and a quilted bottom section of multicoloured diamonds.

But “Lovelight” is more than that, featuring a hooded nylon jacket in grey and yellow with the three-dimensional “GG”. Plus a boxy, oversized linen T-shirt embroidered with a bouquet of flowers and denim shorts finished with a pleated effect. Diana’s tote bag, a small selection of jewellery and shoes complete the collection.
