Gucci updates its payment methods and accepts cryptocurrencies

Following in Off-White’s footsteps, Gucci is moving a little further into the digital universe and regulating payment via cryptocurrencies.

Following in the footsteps of other fashion houses such as Off-White™, Gucci is moving a little further into the digital universe and regularising payment via cryptocurrencies.

The initiative will be rolled out progressively, starting with some of the most iconic shops in the United States such as those located on Wooster Street in New York; Rodeo Drive in Los Angeles; The Shops at Crystals in Las Vegas; Miami Design District in Miami and Phipps Plaza in Atlanta.

Accepted currencies include Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Ethereum, Wrapped Bitcoin, Litecoin, Dogecoin and Shiba Inu. The process is simple: anyone wishing to pay for their purchase with any of these digital currencies must click on a link showing the QR code.

“Gucci is always looking to embrace new technologies when they can provide an enhanced experience for our customers. Now that we can integrate cryptocurrencies into our payment system, it is a natural evolution for customers who want to have this option available to them,” says Marco Bizzarri, CEO and president of Gucci.
