Gucci x Birkenstock... new collaboration on the way?

Gucci x Birkenstock. These collaborative clogs have been spotted on Sarah Jessica Parker during the filming of the second season of “And Just Like That…” But is it an official collaboration?

And so Carrie Bradshaw has swapped her Manolo Blahnik for a pair of Birkenstocks. But not just for any Birkenstock, obviously for a pair signed by Gucci. On the set of the second season of “And Just Like That…”, the reboot of Sex and the City, the actress was photographed wearing these collaborative mules.

This isn’t the first time Birkenstock has joined forces with a luxury brand, having already revealed a collaboration with Dior and another with Manolo Blahnik. However, this would be the first time a Kering brand would collaborate with Birkenstock and the first time it would go for logomania, as it usually avoids it.

It makes us doubtful that a firm controlled by LVMH would collaborate with Kering (parent company of Gucci). But crazier things happen in the fashion world, so we’ll keep you posted on any details we learn more about this meeting. In principle, Gucci has confirmed that it is not official.
