Harry Styles makes Spotify history with 'As It Was'

Last Friday 1st April, Harry Styles broke records. His latest single, ‘As It Was’, became the most played song in a day on Spotify.

This is the first preview of Styles‘ new album, his third solo album since the members of One Direction decided to go their separate ways. ‘As It Was’ is a song of heartbreak that, despite having a nostalgic background, transmits good vibes at the same time thanks to its upbeat rhythm.

That is why, during the day of its release, it managed to reach 8.3 million streams, beating the previous record held by Olivia Rodrigo with ‘Drivers License’. The news came from Spotify itself, which shared the news on its official Instagram page, saying that the British artist has also achieved the recognition of “most played song globally in a single day in 2022” with 21.6 million streams.
