HEAVEN by Marc Jacobs x Dr. Martens: A grunge collection with a nineties reminiscence

Dr. Martens and Marc Jacobs meet again in a 90s grunge collaboration that revisits two of the British footwear brand’s most iconic silhouettes.

 

Heaven by Marc Jacobs is a brand built on the nostalgia of the 90s and the memory of a whole generation. The combination of both synergies gives rise to a grunge and rebellious yet cute result.

The classic Mary Jane silhouette dates back to the mid-20th century, reminiscent of the typical school shoe. A proposal that symbolises childhood and defies the most traditional feminine dress codes. It features Marc Jacobs‘ signature two-headed bear on a Bex sole with double yellow stitching.

The Dr. Martens Ricki 2 Strap, on the other hand, is crafted in classic black smooth leather and features a serrated Bex sole and the Heaven by Marc Jacobs logo engraved in a metal buckle on the sandal’s adjustable straps.
