High heel Crocs, the new #must?

If we look back at the presentation of the Balenciaga SS18 collection, we all remember the platform Crocs that the firm presented and the opinions they generated.

Now, the American footwear brand and now by its own means, has turned twitter on again with its new proposal: a high heel shoe – Cyprus – that combines the aesthetics of Crocs and its comfort, along with a design of straps with which they try to make them more… Chic?

As strange as it may seem, Crocs (@crocs) shoes are already Sold-Out on their website and on Amazon are on their way to it. However, it was something we might expect. This commitment to the ironic trend of fashion “Balenciaga’s style” could only end in success – remember Demna’s platforms -. Best of all…. They are 600€ cheaper than the version of the Parisian house.

We can understand that the classic version of Crocs is used by half the population of the planet. Their comfort justifies all the lack of style but, this time they don’t look particularly comfortable…. What makes them attractive?

The colour palette is based on black, white and “wild orchid”. In short, if you are one of those who put comfort before the way your feet look, these shoes are for you without a doubt – assuming they are comfortable.

What leaves us a little confused is the tremendous success the shoes are having…. This reminds us that sometimes hypes are not easy to understand and neither are people.
