FRIDAY 27TH MAY
One more Friday, Razzmatazz turns into Fuego, the clubber’s answer to the urban music scene. This time, our trusted club welcomes Flaca. Captain of DIMELOW, a benchmark night for perreo, and member of the CHICA collective, the Argentinian DJ based in Madrid has created a name and brand of her own. SATURDAY 28TH MAY
The exhibition ‘Tatto. Art under the skin’ shows the origins of tattooing and analyses the resurgence of this phenomenon, which is permanent and global today. It also explores the functions and uses of tattooing in different eras and cultures. The exhibition contains more than 240 historical and contemporary works, including the work of tattoo artists from countries such as Japan, USA, France, Switzerland and Polynesia. Find out more here.
SUNDAY 29TH MAY
Vans presents photographer Glen E. Friedman’s exhibition, Burning Flags Tour. The photographic presentation is a generational and unpublished portrait of the three powerful countercultures of skateboarding, punk and hip-hop of the late 70s. The exhibition can be visited free of charge from 26 May until 21 June at Sant Pere Més Alt 19, a former textile warehouse in the heart of Barcelona, just a few steps from the impressive Palau de la Música.
The Barcelona International Documentary Film Festival lands at the Aribau cinemas, the CCCB, the Filmoteca de Catalunya and Filmin from 18 to 29 May to celebrate its 25th edition. For two weeks, the festival will offer a wide range of styles and themes. Don’t forget to stop by before the event, which showcases the world’s best documentary production, comes to an end.
