With eight episodes in total, the new installment promises an intense family war between Rhaenyra Targaryen and Alicent Hightower starring their dragons.
The Game of Thrones prequel released in 2022 and inspired by George R.R. Martin’s book “Fire & Blood” is centered on the glory days of House Targaryen, set 200 years before GoT. The original cast, led by Matt Smith, Olivia Cooke, Emma D’Arcy, Eve Best, Steve Toussaint, Fabien Frankel, Ewan Mitchell, Tom Glynn-Carney, Sonoya Mizuno and Rhys Ifans, reprise their roles for this season. In addition, new faces are added: Clinton Liberty as Addam of Hull, Jamie Kenna as Ser Alfred Broome, Kieran Bew as Hugh, Tom Bennett as Ulf, Tom Taylor as Lord Cregan Stark and Vincent Regan as Ser Rickard Thorne.
