Jacquemus says YES to colours in Autumn

Jacquemus affirms with his latest collection “La Montagne” that colours are not only for summer, but also for autumn.

The show by Simon Porte, aka Jacquemus, was one of the most eagerly awaited events of the latest edition of Paris fashion week, as the French designer had not held another show since the viral “fashion moment” or “hair flip” of top model Gigi Hadid. Expectation was high and the desire for a new collection was palpable in the atmosphere and in the “instagrammable” location that Simon and his creative team had meticulously designed for the occasion.

Named “La Montagne”, this latest Ready To Wear (RTW) – Autumn collection by Jacquemus shows the designer’s expression of emotions and feelings, but it is also a clear affirmation of the use of vibrant colours such as red, pink, blue or orange during the season. Composed of 60 looks and reimagining the athleisure style, Simon gathered some of the top models of the moment such as Kendall Jenner, Bella Hadid or Adut Aketch, to walk with his latest creations.

Among the garments in the collection, we have to highlight the tops with slits, skirts with appliqués at the waist simulating the pleplum cut, the deconstructed coats or the maxi/mini jackets. But don’t think that the designer forgot about the male gender, on the contrary, he gave it the same attention as the female one, that’s why we have to highlight the crop tops with zip, the biker shorts or the sky blue suits. Finally, we also have to make a special mention, of course, to his line of bags, since in addition to continuing to patent his “Le chiquito” model, Simon has presented several other models, such as: “Le Cabas Neve”, “Le Rond”, “Le Pinu” and “Le Seau Carré” among others.
