Kim Jones to launch a capsule collection with Converse

The first collaboration between Kim Jones and Converse will be released next week. It will be a collection led by the Chuck 70s and a selection of sportswear.

The symbiosis between sport and luxury that characterizes the work of Kim Jones is now transferred to the world of Converse on the occasion of their first collaboration. On this occasion, the British designer has focused on one of the brand’s most iconic models: the Chuck 70. In addition, to accompany the sneakers, he has designed a capsule of unisex sports-inspired garments.

The new Chuck 70s will be presented in two versions, black with white details and all-white. The model devised by Jones, with his signature located on the tongue, is characterized by its curved and elongated rubber midsole. It also features a sort of transparent TPU cage that wraps around the design from the laces to the heels.

In addition to adding her personal touch to the iconic silhouette, Kim Jones has also designed a clothing capsule consisting of a parka, sweatshirt, T-shirt and cargo pants. The parka, available in red and khaki, is made of nylon and is waterproof. The pants, in navy blue, are made of cotton with mesh inserts to ensure breathability and are inspired by classic sports pants. As for the other garments, the T-shirt will be available in khaki and white, and the sweatshirt in dark blue.

The Converse x Kim Jones capsule will be available from April 8 at the Converse online store and in selected stores. This is the first collaboration between the two, so it could be the beginning of a creative relationship with future projection.
