Levi's® brings back the 80s and 90s for the SS25 season

A touch of 80s preppy style; a pinch of 70s and 90s rock; a boho-chic vibe and an incredible summer walk through a desert canyon. These are the elements that can be found in the new Levi’s® spring/summer 2025 collection, which features a new selection of baggy and XL Straight models in both denim and other fabrics, light summer tops, jeans, dresses and many other garments for the festival season.

Under the name Pause, Rewind, Play, this new collection takes inspiration from elements from the 70s, 80s and 90s, reinterpreting them and adjusting them to current models and styles. It mixes details of homemade craftsmanship such as embroidery on blouses and shirts with crochet sweaters, terrycloth polo shirts, graphics inspired by the university and music world and a mix of earth tones with blue and pinkish purple touches.

This season, silhouettes are all about mixing it up: baggy jeans for him and XL jeans for her with fitted tops, classic graphic tees and airy silhouettes. Textures play off each other with soft linens, terrycloth and lyocell mixed with open knits, crocheted jerseys and handcrafted details.

Speaking of fabrics, this season includes the latest innovations from Levi’s®, including our new lightweight 10-ounce Shrink-to-Fit denim. It has the same look and feel as classic Shrink-to-Fit denim, and is just as durable, only it’s been engineered to be softer and lighter, making it the perfect weight for summer. Best of all, this lightweight denim will age just as well as a classic pair of Levi’s® Shrink-to-Fit® jeans. Other fabric innovations include a range of new cotton and linen blends, both on tops and bottoms, which help keep you naturally cool during hot summer days.

And finally, on the style front this season, elements of 80s preppy and classic Americana for men, and feminine updates to classic menswear and Western wear for women, are highlighted. With looser fits and softer fabrics, it’s a mix of easy-to-wear styles that feel timeless and contemporary at the same time. The 2025 spring/summer collection also includes a new cropped jean offering, 90s-inspired Dad Jorts, graphic tees found in the Levi’s® archives, tank tops, textured tube tops and 501® shorts.
