LG says goodbye to its phone division definitively

LG, the South Korean electronics company, is bidding a final farewell to its worldwide telephone division.

After several months of rumours, the decision was approved today and will become effective on 31 July this year. The multinational will thus focus its resources and production on other growth areas such as electric vehicles and artificial intelligence.

But what will happen to those users who own an LG mobile phone?

“LG will provide service support and software updates for customers of existing mobile products for a period of time that will vary by region,” the company confirms.
