Liam Hodges and his AW19 proposal takes us fully into the future. Inspired by the preapocalyptic world in which we live, Liam prepares us for the danger ahead.
Young designers have been constantly resorting to references from the past, but this time Liam was clear: it’s time to prepare for the future. A vision that the designer has been impregnated in his clothes for some time but that this collection stands out.
Nylon trackies with patches, bleached jeans sets, space boots and gloves, multicolored camouflage prints… A mix of elements that make the proposal something really new in the world of Hodges. This season has also surprised us with a collaboration with Ellesse – the designer repeats with an Italian brand after collaborating with Fila last year – , which was present at all times, both in footwear and garments.

A game of dimensions in which, despite the futuristic perspective, there were still elements that drank from the past. An aesthetic mix that reminds us of the 5th element that Liam knew how to turn into fashion.
“The Martians come to save the Earth,” said a T-shirt on the catwalk. Surely they are also dressed as Liam Hodges.
