‘Los límites que habito’: The dual art exhibition in Barcelona that you can’t miss

The art label AGNÈS presents its new exhibition ‘Los límites que habito’ by the artists Rita Sala and Juan Diego Thielen.

The art label AGNÈS presents its new exhibition ‘Los límites que habito’ by the artists Rita Sala and Juan Diego Thielen. The opening will take place today, 16 February, at 6pm in the Cera 13 space located in the Raval district of Barcelona.

Juan Diego Thielen is one of the multidisciplinary artists who make up the emerging art scene in Barcelona, which alternates with major art and design studios such as Ricardo Bofill‘s, with whom he is a regular collaborator.

For Thielen, sculpture, his work with concrete and iron, involves both the possibility of generating an intimate dialogue between the materials during the creative process, and a reflection of an existential nature, which concerns essential aspects of life, such as nostalgia or the passing of time.

After closing a 2022 of numerous national and international exhibitions.‘Los límites que habito’ opens this new chapter for Juan Diego writing one more paragraph about a promising future.

Rita Sala, a graduate in fine arts from the University of Barcelona, is an artist with a strong particular aesthetic that she captures in her large canvases, those that form the main axis of her discourse.

For Rita, spaces are a coexistence of habits and short circuits, which she tries to shape through her work. Her work is an investigation into the human need to signify the space one inhabits and to find meaning in it.

‘Los límites que habito’ invites us to think about space through its limits, limits that somehow mark places where our behaviours and habits develop. Two questions are posed: Is our inner space nourished by what we consider valuable in the places we inhabit? What do we call inhabiting?

After great success in previous editions, this will be the third exhibition of AGNÈS, an art representation label based in Barcelona which, through its management, brings emerging and mid-career artists to collectors, institutions and art lovers from all over the world, thus helping to lay the foundations of tomorrow’s art scene.
