Louis Vuitton and Carlos Alcaraz create an unique trunk

The young sportsman, who has been an ambassador for the Maison since last June, has infiltrated the legendary artisan workshops to create a true collector’s item.

This exclusive, custom-made boot is designed and manufactured with the aim of storing and protecting both the sports equipment and the world tennis star’s precious memorabilia. A demonstration of Louis Vuitton‘s nearly 170 years of tradition and savoir-faire, it features premium wood covered with the iconic Monogram canvas and finished with brass fastenings and rivets – the same ones that have been used since the 1860s. On the outside, the carefully hand-painted logo, inspired by Alcaraz‘s career, stands out.

The padded interior features five microfiber-lined drawers with natural leather pulls and a central drawer with crossed cotton straps reminiscent of the design of the legendary Secretary Linen trunk. Each and every one of the compartments has been personalised with the aim of celebrating the impeccable career of the sportsman, through memorabilia such as the Nike shirt and shoes he wore when he was crowned Wimbledon champion in 2023 or one of his Babolat racquets. In addition, there is also a space dedicated to Carlos’ personal Louis Vuitton items: a blue Speedy Bag P9, a design given to him by Pharrell Williams, his favourite LV Nike AF1 and a selection of accessories such as tennis balls signed by the house, the Horizon Light Up headphones or the LV Nanogram portable speaker.

“Working on this boot with the Louis Vuitton craftsmen has been a great experience and a privilege,” says Alcaraz. “It is designed to house some of my most special memories, in particular those of my Grand Slams, as well as some of my favourite products from the Maison, such as my Speedy bag or my personalised LV x Nike AF1. I’m really proud of what we’ve been able to create together,” he concludes.
