At last we have seen the new installment, and with this one there are now four, of the collaboration between Mackintosh (@mackintoshofficial) and one of the emerging designers of the moment: Kiko Kostadinov (@kikokostadinov).
Again, as in its predecessors, Kiko is inspired by workwear and relies on a specific material… This time it’s lead’s turn. Both the above-mentioned aesthetics and the chosen material become evident through garments that seem to take welding as their starting point, to evolve through the proposal with materials such as waxed or laminated cotton that coexist with the layers of soldering iron that are cut and connected to each other.
The chosen colour palette is based on natural greens, blues and browns, a tribute to the work of the artist Giuseppe Penone. Undoubtedly a very interesting proposal in terms of inspiration and treatment of the pattern.
