Madrid es Moda returns for next season

Madrid es Moda today confirms the dates of its next season and previews part of its programme.

Forerunners in taking signature fashion to the street, from 7 to 11 September MeM will once again choose Madrid and its corners as the setting for presenting the proposals of more than 20 designers in original events that make the city a co-protagonist. An edition that is putting the finishing touches to its preparations and which will once again begin with an urban event, this time held in collaboration with the National Archaeological Museum.

Beatriz Peñalver, Devota & Lomba, Duarte, Duyos, Encinar, Esther Noriega, Evade House, Félix Ramiro, García Madrid, Gran Canaria Moda Cálida, Javier Delafuente, Juan Vidal, Juanjo Oliva, Leandro Cano, Malne, María Lafuente, Moisés Nieto, Odette Álvarez, Oteyza, Otrura, Pertegaz, Raquel López and The Extreme Collection are some of the firms that will participate in Madrid es Moda, whose calendar will be announced in a few weeks and which will include fashion shows, exhibitions and colloquiums, among other activities.

The programme will also include the official presentation of #GENSPAIN, a project promoted by the most avant-garde and cutting-edge generation of fashion designers in Spain to reinforce Made in Spain within and beyond our borders. GENSPAIN is made up of: Carlota Barrera, Ernesto Naranjo, Juan Vidal, Leandro Cano, ManéMané, Mans, Moisés Nieto, Paula Cánovas del Vas, Reveligion, Sonia Carrasco and Ynés Suelves.

Madrid es Moda will once again kick off Madrid Fashion Week with a street action of which all the details will be unveiled soon. On this occasion, fashion and flamenco, two of the most representative arts of our country, will merge in the National Archaeological Museum in a performance with models, music and live dance. The performance will feature leading figures from the world of flamenco and the participants in Madrid es Moda.

CHRONOS, THE VALUE OF TIME

This issue of Madrid es Moda revolves around the concept of Chronos, the value of time, a recognition of the element from which contemplation, creation and craftsmanship are born, pillars that define Spanish designer fashion. Each garment by our designers contains this process, this heritage and this time. Unique pieces that treasure the authentic immaterial value of auteur fashion. Undisputed witnesses to the passage of time are museums. One of the most emblematic in our country is undoubtedly the National Archaeological Museum, the space chosen to develop the graphic image of this edition and which will also host the opening ceremony.

Madrid es Moda hosts the GNRL Studios project.
