Mina’s iconic song is back in a reissue for Gucci’s first runway show with Sabato de Sarno as creative director.
Following the huge buzz caused by the ‘Mina Ancora, ancora, ancora – Mark Ronson remix’ and its viral success both online and offline, the song hits all digital platforms and radio today, accompanied by a special re-release of the historic album artwork in Gucci’s new Rosso Ancora colour.
To mark the launch of the new Gucci Ancora collection last September, the House’s creative director Sabato De Sarno and music producer Mark Ronson have collaborated to create an original remix of the iconic song Ancora, ancora, ancora by celebrated Italian artist Mina, written by Cristiano Malgioglio, which became a huge hit upon its release in 1978.
Ronson has already commented on social media about what it was like for him to discover the singer’s impressive depth and talent: “Until Sabato told me he wanted the iconic song Ancora, ancora, ancora, ancora to be the theme song for his debut as creative director of Gucci, I hadn’t even heard it. What a song. I fell in love with his voice, the passion and desire it exudes, the beautiful orchestral arrangement… It’s been a pleasure to work on it.
The show’s soundtrack also includes Lykke Li’s ‘Late Night Feelings’ and Romy’s ‘Loveher’.
