Marni FW22 explores the beauty of imperfection

Marni introduces us to a modern fairy tale as a continuation of its first episode for the autumn-winter 22 season.

Francesco Risso introduces us to a modern fairy tale as a continuation of his first episode for FW22. In this “VOL.2” presented during Milan Fashion Week, Marni made reference to the objects of affection in a very personal collection in which to denote the mastery of repair work and overflow.

The art of imperfection and mending become the guiding focus for all these disruptive looks; between jeans adorned with patchwork fabrics with leather patches and stitched argyle or oversized leather coats with worn-out finishes. Here, old and new, and/or nostalgia and avant-garde fluctuate and dilute in a symbiosis that is playful and subversive to say the least.

Deconstruction is also synchronized in this universe of tearing, in garments with large openings that relegate functionality to an almost non-existent level.

On the other hand, formal pieces such as gingham check blazers fused with frayed crochet jumpers or punk-style ripped suit trousers are very much in evidence. Of course, anarchy is served in large doses.

The range was completed by a footwear offering of spiked rubber boots and leather shoes, as well as accessories such as a matching bag in shades of yellow, red and blue.
