At the recent Paris Men’s Fashion Week, the Massimo Osti Studio team wanted to make a statement with an impressive installation consisting of a huge mechanized rack with the brand’s first pieces. And considering that the Italian designer and engineer, who passed away in 2005, revolutionized sports fashion with Stone Island and then C.P. Company, the brand that pays tribute to him could not be left behind in terms of technological innovation. Today, after a month of its presentation in society, finally comes the first chapter of its history: Alcantara®.
The name of the collection comes from the material used. Alcantara® is a highly innovative material that offers an unparalleled combination of sensory, aesthetic and functional qualities. Patented and Made in Italy, the material is perfectly suited to contemporary utilitarian clothing and highlights the brand’s commitment to exploring new technological and design horizons.
Garments made with this material are manufactured in a particular way. They are laser-cut, drastically reducing the use of seams and replacing them with heat-sensitive mesh tape, placed under the edges. The opaque plastic-effect details have been obtained by exploiting the thermal reaction of the material with thermo-sensitive mesh tape.
Chapter 1 of Massimo Osti Studio is composed of a parka, pants, a short jacket with concealable hood, a cap and a backpack; and are now available exclusively at massimoosti.com.
