Matthew M Williams elevates cargo aesthetics at Givenchy SS23

Matthew M Williams imbues streetwear with sophistication in Givenchy’s latest Spring/Summer 2023 collection at PFW.

Fleetwood Mac’s “Everywhere” and Noise Addict’s “I Wish I Was Him” are some of the songs from the soundtrack MMW chose to present Givenchy’s Spring/Summer 2023 womenswear collection. Ye was one of the attendees as well as Karlie Kloss, Amelia Gray and Bella Hadid (the latter walking).

Ostrich feathers adorned the dresses which she combined with gloves. In addition, there were also total black proposals that combined semi-transparent tops. Naturally, sporty nuances appeared and the cargo and workwear trends arrived in their most elegant version.

The new collection brought together much of what MMW has done at Givenchy for several seasons and, as a result, established its own aesthetic. Dresses with tiny metal straps, crystal embellishments, gloves, denim, leather and more permeated the looks of Givenchy‘s new collection.
