Meta’s augmented reality glasses will arrive in 2027 and will have the ability to project avatars in hologram form.
Meta’s augmented reality glasses will arrive in four years’ time. However, Meta will start distributing the device to its employees so that they can carry out various tests. These glasses are intended to have more advanced functions compared to the RayBan Stories or any other virtual reality device that the company currently markets. In fact, one of the most interesting features is the ability to project avatars in the form of holograms that can be superimposed in real life.
Meta’s AR glasses could also include a “neural interface” so that the user can control the device through hand gestures or even type with a virtual keyboard that would have the same typing speed as a smartphone keyboard. Zuckerberg hopes that these AR glasses will replace mobile devices -something that, precisely, Apple also hopes to do with its Apple Glass- and that, we reiterate, it will be a product that revolutionises the industry.
