Dr. Martens continues adding iconic pieces to his imaginary ‘1460 Remastered’ through a new collaboration with streetwear brand NEEDLES. Keizo Shimizu, the Japanese brand’s creative director, now redesigns these #mustwanted boots with his codes and elements.
Stripes inspired by NEEDLES sweatpants run along the sidewall of the boot in purple, while the OG logo of the ‘Papillon’ butterfly stands out at the toe in the same contrasting shade.
Three sets of laces in black, purple and silver allow for playing with the versatility of the shoe that “has a timeless, universal and impartial appeal”, and is the eighth delivery of the 1460 Remastered initiative that celebrates the 60 years of the boot.
The NEEDLES x Dr. Martens 1460 will be available on the Dr. Martens website on August 28th.
