New Balance MR530: Back to retro

After the successful launch of the New Balance 860 (@newbalance) and watching the market eagerly devour any retro silhouette, the MR530 is back this December.

It seems that Boston designers have taken another look at the archive to redevelop the silhouette of the New Balance MR530 in different colors.

Note, we must not confuse the New Balance MR530 with the New Balance 530. They are two completely different models of shoes. The MR530 were designed in the 90’s for the trail fanatics. Now, they are ready to enter the second part of their life cycle as a lifestyle shoe.

Just like ASICS did 10 days ago re-launching the Gel-1090 of 2004, now it’s the turn of New Balance, which repeats the formula.

The silhouette has been remodelled and combines new ranges of colours. The first one is white, with light grey elements that give a touch of colour to the shoe. The second model has a grey upper and subtle yellow trims. The third colorway is a complete contrast compared to the other models, as it was designed in a classic black tone rather discreet. And the fourth and last shoe in the range is also the most striking. There they used an interesting yellow tone for the top and it is decorated with small black ornaments.

Each of the models is equipped with an Abzorb cushioning system, which ensures that the user is always comfortable. In addition, all shoes have breathable mesh.

 

The new MR530 shoes go on sale tomorrow Monday for the modest price of 100 euros at Norse Store.
