Titled “Haunted” and directed by Carlo Marccenaro and lensed by Josu Larrea, the fashion film delves into the themes of pursuit and evasion, shedding light on the dynamics of desire and acquisition, and reminding us that often what we seek externally is already within us.
‘Haunted’ is a 3-part video in which the main character, NIMPH, played by Serafina Sampu, tries to protect a mystical heart-shaped amulet from a mysterious figure that stalks her, but discovers that the presence is none other than an alternate version of herself. This audiovisual work comes shortly after the release of the latest installment of ‘Nimph’. Trying to make a reformulation of its previous collection “Amore Hardcore” but from a darker perspective, the ‘Jaque Mate’ collection symbolizes a new beginning of the brand that after five collections, decides to undertake a new journey of experimentation with more wintry and dark fabrics.
The garments that we already knew from other seasons are renewed with new silhouettes and colors, made with knitted fabrics and the characteristic Nimph lace pieces, in long sleeve and Capri looks. Always keeping the focus on the versatility of the garments, each piece of the new collection can be worn in different versions (such as the Maxi Petalo skirt/dress or the Longsleeve Felicia top).
The brand born in 2020 in Barcelona, founded by Creative Director and designer Patty Mañá Fusté, is committed to designing and producing both innovative and sustainable shapes. Nimph sources locally sourced material, with production entirely made in Barcelona and with a strong focus on upcycling and deadstock, transforming the old and forgotten into new and current garments.
In 2022 she debuted at EGO at Madrid Fashion Week, and to this day continues to work on the brand from his studio in Gracia, Barcelona.
