Off-White returns to the Paris runways with its “laboratory of fun”

Off-White returns to the Paris catwalks with its Fall/Winter 21 collection, entitled “Laboratory of fun” and in a see-now-buy-now format.

Off-White‘s show, like Jacquemus’, was one of the most eagerly awaited shows of Paris fashion week, as Virgil, like Simon, decided not to hold any shows during the pandemic season. As expected, fashion editors and fans of the brand were anxious to see what one of the creators of streetwear culture would surprise us with this time.

Entitled “Laboratory of fun” and captained by top model Bella Hadid and her electric blue velvet mini dress, this Fall/Winter 2021 collection by Virgil Abloh for Off-White was quite an event. As we said, the excitement was palpable minutes before the show. The eagerly awaited show began with the following phrase: “Get your iPhones ready; the vibes are about to be immaculate,”.

Composed of 54 looks and some of the top models of the decade like Joan Smalls or Amber Valletta and stars like Honey Dijon, this latest see-now-buy-now line was a success, as the designer showed a more mature version of his brand, leaving behind some of his hallmarks, such as logos or graphics. On the other hand, it seems that the minimalist aesthetics and simple lines have taken over the designer, as we could see in the garments of the collection. Regarding the colour palette used by V.A., we can find vibrant tones like blue or orange and other more neutral ones like white, black or grey. Finally, we have to highlight its dresses with backwards seams or its extra-long coats.

This Fall/Winter 21 – Ready to Wear (RTW) collection by Off-White and Virgil Abloh is now available on its website.
