After “Joyous Reunion” for the spring of 2020, Our Legacy (@ourlegacy) returns with its Pre-Fall 2020 collection. This season the Swedish brand is inspired by criminology to create a collection that will undoubtedly leave its mark.

Although the photos in the lookbook are baffling, that’s what it’s all about. The clothes can’t be seen clearly, but Our Legacy Pre-Fall 2020 conveys that sense of intrigue that Nying wants to provoke. The materials and methods used have been taken from forensic science, while, at the same time, other motives are related to the idea of “leaving behind evidence and traces”.
Wide jeans with reddish spots, short-sleeved shirts and clean shoes. These are just some of the proposals for this season. Modern cuts and artistic prints are back in the spotlight. Also noteworthy are the dyed denim pieces, the brown silk pants, transparent synthetics and the t-shirts that look like they were taken from the scene of a real crime.
Christopher Nying himself explains that this collection arose out of a drunkenness of crime programs. “Our Legacy is balancing the contrasts between the clinically clean world of forensic science and the raw hems, transparent synthetics and leather,” he says.
Although the firm began as a men’s clothing brand, every season we see how the women’s clothing line becomes stronger, this being its third incursion. And we love it.
