Just a couple of seasons after taking over in May last year.
Judging by the reviews, the creative left something to be desired in his Helmut Lang debut. However, his second proposal generated a little more noise, although not enough. Perhaps this has something to do with his sudden departure? A precocious case in the history of fashion that joins those of Peter Hawkings, who spent less than a year at Tom Ford or Walter Chiapponi, who left Blumarine after only one season.
“I want to express my gratitude to my team at Helmut Lang, who have been essential in supporting my vision. It has been an incredible journey to be commissioned to continue Helmut Lang’s legacy,” the designer said in a statement.
The debate is now open: who will fill the new position? Will this be a new stage for the brand or just another chapter in its ongoing quest to redefine itself?
And speaking of industry news…. H&M and Glenn Martens announce a joint collection for this season.
