The streetwear brand Pleasures has teamed up with Akila to launch a collection of sunglasses inspired by the dosmilera aesthetic. The eyewear will be part of Pleasures’ summer collection and its Vision Program.
Another collaboration for SS21 that we can’t overlook is that of Pleasures with Akila. On this occasion, the streetwear brand has transferred its punk attitude to the designs conceived together with the L.A. sunglasses brand, with which it had already worked previously in the creation of its Lithium model. The result is a capsule inspired by the codes of the early 2000s, which are materialized through two different frames.
On the one hand, there is the “Reflex” silhouette, characterized by its wrap-around design and made of eco-friendly cellulose acetate, as Akila works with plant-based materials. And on the other hand, the “Method” model, which updates the classic wayfarer in two colors “Black Sparkle” and “Pink Tortoise”. In addition, both sunglasses feature 100% handmade UVA/UVB protection lenses.
Pleasures’ collaboration with Akila goes on sale today at 1pm est at their respective onlinestores, so we’ll be keeping an eye out. In the meantime, you can check out the latest summer releases at Highxtar.
