Porsche Design collaborates once again with AGON by AOC, one of the world’s leading brands in gaming monitors and accessories, to present the Porsche Design | AOC AGON PRO PD49 curved gaming monitor, a combination of design and technology and a statement of style and performance. Awarded the “iF Design Award 2023” and the “Red Dot Award: Product Design 2023″ and equipped with a state-of-the-art QD-OLED panel in a 49” (124.46 cm) size and 32:9 aspect ratio, the PD49 offers esports-level performance for high competition: 240 Hz refresh rate and 0.03 ms GtG response time.
With a thickness of approximately 5mm, the PD49 houses an extremely thin, curved QD-OLED panel that stretches over an imposing 49″ screen. Its 1800R curvature spans the user’s entire field of view. With an impressive dual QHD resolution of 5120 × 1440 pixels, it is set to redefine visual experiences. With a maximum brightness of 1,000 nits and VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400 certified, it displays radiant, deeply saturated images with 1.07 billion colours thanks to its 10-bit colour depth, covering 99% of the DCI-P3 colour gamut. Thanks to the inclusion of Adaptive-Sync for variable refresh rate, all gaming sequences flow with immersive continuity and without tearing. It also has an esports-friendly 240 Hz refresh rate and an effective response time of 0.03 ms (GtG).
The design approach of the PD49 reflects the intricate details of a Porsche sports car. The PD49’s sandblasted cast aluminium stand, reminiscent of the steering wheel and steering wheel spokes of a sports car, gives the monitor a sense of grandeur. The rear of the monitor is inspired by the radiator grille of a Porsche 911. From the exclusive design of the on-screen display to the assertive ignition logo, every detail accentuates the elegance. Dynamic and customisable RGB Light FX elements embellish both the front and rear logos.
The PD49 boasts an array of connectivity options. Support for HDMI 2.1 and DP 1.4 ensures that the latest devices feel right at home. The included USB hub, complemented by four USB 3.2 ports and an RJ-45 input, ensures seamless connectivity. A highlight is the USB-C port with generous 90W of power, allowing devices to stay charged while immersed in the gaming world. The integrated KVM switch allows users to connect two computers simultaneously, splitting the dual QHD display for multitasking enthusiasts.
Features such as Frame Counter, adjustable crosshair (Dial Point) and optimised low input lag give users an edge over their competitors and enhance the gaming experience. The integrated 2×8 W stereo speakers ensure an audio experience as immersive as the visuals.
The Porsche Design AGON PRO PD49 is now available in Porsche Design boutiques and specialist retailers, as well as online at porsche-design.com and selected online shops at a price of 2,199 euros.
