After Saint Laurent and Ermenegildo Zegna it is now the turn of his most personal project. Stefano Pilati presents his project Random Identities.
The Stefano brand is like a space where people can identify themselves beyond trends and genres, at a confluence of male and female that focuses on design, quality and functionality. Identities are random, as its name says, and it is constantly working on the search for a new identity. A firm that bets on black, simplicity and linear cuts without much artifice.
Berlin and club culture as a source of inspiration result in bombers with exaggerated shapes or unstructured jackets, all visually communicated through nudes that invite reflection on the concept of beauty.
“We are often subject to twisted realities, impositions that we transform into opposing tribes. In the end, this affects the way we perceive ourselves, changing our values” – Stefano Pilati
Strongest of all is that the collection has already been put on sale through SSENSE, and will soon reach strategic retail locations such as Dover Street Market in New York, Los Angeles, London and Ginza. All this has happened without great repercussion, perhaps a new way of facing the market, far from the catwalk and more focused on the client and the study.
