Las Vegas police confirmed this week that they have issued a search warrant in connection with the case of famed hip-hop artist Tupac Shakur.
Tupac Shakur also known as Tupac or 2Pac was the most popular rapper of the nineties. In the summer of 1996, just turning 25, he had sold more than 33 million records, becoming number one on the charts. Until a bullet crossed his path and he died in September 1996. Now, when it is about to be 27 years since his death, the Nevada police have reopened the investigation into this murder, which was never fully clarified.
Nevada agents have conducted a search in a house on the outskirts of the city of Las Vegas to try to find clues that will help them investigate the death of the musician. The house that the Las Vegas Police searched this week belongs to the uncle of one of the men who for years has been a suspect in the case. The investigated property belongs to Paula Clemons, a woman married to Keefe Davis, who has assured on multiple occasions that her nephew was involved in the murder.
In 2018, Netflix released the documentary “Unsolved: The Tupac and Biggie Murders,” which featured Davis claiming that he had been in the car with the man who shot Shakur, but declined to name names. Anderson denied responsibility for him in Tupac’s murder on numerous occasions, and two years after Shakur’s death he was killed in a gang shootout. Despite the large number of witnesses, the investigation had stalled due to their lack of cooperation.
Tupac’s original Makaveli album cover painting is going up for auction.
