Four unisex eyewear styles featuring a new impossible lens, completely inverted and with supermodel Vittoria Ceretti as the star of the campaign.
Driven by an insatiable curiosity, Ray-Ban has once again ventured into the unexplored with the most advanced engineering. The result? A lens that moves from a traditional convex to a concave shape without sacrificing optical precision thanks to innovative production technology. The result is a disruptive design signature that optimises refractive, astigmatic, prismatic and resolving power. In addition, the pantoscopic lens, which features a high-performance anti-reflective coating, has been designed to reduce reflections by 70% in the wavelengths to which the eye is most sensitive.
Developed with an ergonomic universal frame, the Ray-Ban Reverse Aviator, Wayfarer, Caravan and Boyfriend models gently trace the curves of the cheekbone to adapt to and flatter any type of face. The environmentally responsible collection uses a palette of alternative materials such as nylon, acetate and carbon from eco-friendly sources.
“Our Ray-Ban reverse collection is a true revolution in the eyewear industry. Its concave aesthetic is made possible by a new patented technology that applies big data analysis to lens design. We are always raising the bar by reinventing what eyecare and eyewear can do for consumers,” says Federico Buffa of EssilorLuxottica.
The Ray-Ban Reverse collection is now available in all physical shops and also on the brand‘s website.
