After owning one of the leading makeup brands, the artist announces the launch of a new line of hair products: Fenty Hair. The businesswoman announced the news through a statement issued via social media, accompanied by an audiovisual. While the Barbados native did not reveal which products her future customers will be able to purchase, the singer revealed that her hair line will be available from 13 June at FENTYHAIR.COM.
The film features Rihanna, presenting herself with a bold short blonde haircut and mullet, symbolising the versatility and diversity that Fenty Hair aims to embrace. The ad, which highlights a wide range of people with different hair types – from straight to afro to braided – is a clear indication that the collection will seek to cater to as wide a range of needs as it does with the rest of its brands.
‘A new family is moving in! Fenty Hair is coming and it’s time for you to finally get the hair experience you’ve been waiting for,’ reads the video’s description. ‘You know how much I care about changing my hair. I’ve had just about every texture, colour and length, from weaves to braids to natural, so I’m launching a flexible line of products not only for every hair you want, but each product is designed to strengthen and repair all hair types. which is what we really need!’
